The statutory purpose of the Swiss Design Association:

The Swiss Design Association associates the professionals of all design disciplines in Switzerland and other persons and entities interested in Swiss design work.

• The Swiss Design Association develops expert services for its members.
• The Swiss Design Association promotes the quality of Swiss design work.
• The Swiss Design Association advocates the recognition of design at the political and economic levels.
• The Swiss Design Association advocates occupational training in the various design disciplines that guarantees the interests and goals it promotes.
• The Swiss Design Association maintains relations with likeminded professional associations in Switzerland and abroad, in particular the ICSID (International Council of Societies of Industrial Design).
• The Swiss Design Association ensures the exchange of experience, knowledge and views through discussions, events, studies and publications.
• The Swiss Design Association supports and advises national and international institutions on design matters.
